Message Board - Instructions
Welcome to the message board. It is very easy to use so please check it regularly...it is now active. Some suggested uses of the board are :-
Instructions (if necessary)
1. When you first enter the site, you will be asked to register as a new user by creating an account name. This is not compulsory. If you do not wish to sign up, you can still use the board as a 'Guest'.
2. However, we do recommended you create an account and get yourself a User Name. This is free and will save you time when creating or replying to messages. It will also give you access to the calendar and other features.
3. Upon entry, you will find yourself at the 'Home' location. From there, click the 'South Eastern Road Club Message Board' link to view the messages.
4. This is our message board screen. Click the subjects to read the messages. You can then post a reply if you wish.
From this screen you can also create a new subject (called a Thread)
5. Below is an example of an actual message. To post a reply, which will be visible to everyone, just click on the 'reply' link. This will open up a simple form, very similar to the example shown in point 6 below.
Any number of replies can be posted to a particular message subject. All will be visible.
6. To create and post a new message subject, you fill in a simple form as shown below. This is slightly different if you are logged in as a registered user, but it's basically the same form. As a 'Guest' you will have to enter your name and a security code. The code has to be exactly as shown in the table i.e. it's case sensitive. If you get it wrong, you will be prompted with an error message and asked to re-enter it.
In the example above, the code would be entered in as 3H3BXDR
